Milkcow has been my all-time favourite soft-serve ice cream when it first came into town! I was so happy when I knew they are coming to Richmond as it was really convenient for me to get to 🙂 On their website they emphasize on their premium quality and the use of local organic milk for their ice cream. They are originated from South Korea.
Service
Depending on the time of the day and the season of the year, sometimes it can be quite packed here at Milkcow. This day when me and my friend came in, it was not super busy (which was good!)
For the times that I came, usually there are always 2 staff, and every time during my visit the experience was great. For the times I ordered the souffle pancake, I was always informed about the time needed to have them ready (20-30 minutes) and I always prepared myself for this wait time.
Taste & Price
We ordered 2 sets of souffle pancake plus soft-serve: Tiramisu (with classic Milky Way – plain milk soft-serve) and the Ube (with ube soft-serve).
I have to say, the ube combo was really GOOD! I absolutely loved the ube flavor, which was always quite distinct and personally I have always loved the taste. Both the sauce on the souffle pancake and the ice cream has a really nice authentic flavour (not subtle and you can definitely taste it!).
Souffle pancake that comes with a soft-serve – $12.00 – $14.00 CAD – it had been quite some time between my last visit and the time of writing this post so I can’t quite remember the exact price but it’s within this range!
For the actual souffle pancake, it has a really great texture of softness and fluffiness. Personally I think it’s one of the best in town. I can tell that they were not sloppy in the process of making them and it definitely showed 🙂
I highly recommend you to go try it out if you haven’t!
