Review: Tsujiri

Last weekend me and my friend did a spontaneous trip to Tsujiri (@tsujiri_vancouver) – the highly-anticipated Japanese matcha cafe in Richmond that everyone is waiting for! Here is my (first!) short review of my overall experience. Let me know your thoughts & experience if you have been to Tsujiri lately!

Service

Since it was just opened on February 14th / Valentine’s Day, the hype is definitely still here and there was a line-up when we went… (at around 2:30pm on a Saturday) I was not surprised. We waited for almost an hour from start till finally ordering and getting a table. While we were waiting in line the staff was very friendly to come and show us the menu and said sorry for the long wait.

When we almost reached the front of the line, the staff brought out a sign saying all cheesecake and 2 of the 3 parfaits that they have were sold out 🙁 It was only about 1.5 hour since they opened the store at 2pm, bummer.

Taste & Price

We ordered the Sakura Parfait – inside there are a sakura jello, cereal flakes, different kinds of mochis, and matcha soft serve ice cream. I loved the soft serve personally – super strong matcha flavour that was super refreshing. My second favourite inside the parfait is the square-shaped mochi with matcha powder. Again, strong matcha flavour and very soft and enjoyable to eat.

Sakura Parfait – $14.00 CAD – a little price-y for a parfait!
